6:30am Vehicle Check - Those without CSDC vehicle permits will be issued permits from this time onwards
7.00am Chaney's Forest Gate Locked, please collect bibs and musher packs before the mushers meeting
7.10am Mushers meeting

The event is being run with allocated parking, due to the large number of vehicles.
Please follow the reflective markers once in the parking area.

SPECIAL RACE CONDITIONS

Neck lines all dogs are required to be fastened by a neck line, with the exception of single lead dogs.

Effective Lights (Headlight and taillight) are mandatory for Rig races

Changes to your class or musher must be submitted by Sunday 9th August, any changes after this date will ONLY be accepted with just cause and are at the discretion of the Race Secretary and Race Marshall.

Changes to your dogs must be submitted by Sunday 9th August, any changes after this date will ONLY be accepted with just cause and are at the discretion of the Race Secretary and Race Marshall. The RGO must be aware of your dog changes. You maybe required to move down a class if dropping a dog.

Changes MUST be submitted via email to entries@canterburysleddogclub.co.nz changes via text, social media or phone calls will not be accepted.

Early exit from the forest is not usually possible, exceptions maybe granted in very special cases where it doesn't effect the running of the event and must be requested from the Race Secretary prior.
JUST CAUSE REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE APPLICABLE BIB DRAW UNLESS THERE ARE EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. CLASS CHANGES ARE NOT POSSIBLE AFTER THE BIB DRAW.
TO AVOID DISAPOINTMENT PLEASE CHECK YOUR CONFIRMATION CLEARLY, LATE CHANGES MAYBE DECLINED.

BIB DRAW & MUSHERS MEETING
The Bib Draw for Day 1 will be a remote bib draw, bibs need to be collected along with musher packs on Saturday morning before the race. These will be located on the table under the marquee.
Bib draw for Day 2 will be conducted at the compulsory mushers meeting
Day 1 Remote bib draw - musher attendance optional
Day 2 Saturday 15th August 2026 after racing is completed
ACCOMODATION
We recommend trying Spencer Beach Holiday Park, they are pet friendly by arrangement and only a few minutes from the forest, contact them directly.
